Cikada Circus

Cikada is a presentation of two acrobats who blur the lines between human and nature. It is an acrobatic and poetic reflection of the balance between the organic, the structured and the human. The ideas explored are around absurd insect habits and the contrast to this of the relationship between two present human bodies. There is a graceful, pedestrian quality about the piece which draws in the audience in a relatable manner, whilst mixing movement and dance with pure strength and dynamic power. The acrobatic language between the duo is of finesse and honesty. A fun, thoughtful and humorous display of rich imagery and dynamic riveting movement.

Nominated for the Judges’ Choice Award, ‘Best Duo,’ Dublin Fringe Festival 2018.
