John is a man.
A man who wears heels, dresses, lingerie.
John wants to tell you why.
How it has changed him. How, maybe, it might change you.
John in Heels is a powerful monologue about the journey to feel like oneself and not be trapped by notions of normal.
“Now and again, if you are willing to accept it, something magical happens and everything changes.”
John in Heels was first performed as a work in progress in Smock Alley Theatre as a part of the Scene + Heard Festival. Written by Daniel Thomson, directed by Emily McGonagle & performed by Michael Duffy.
